Notes 23/24
The athletes age for the season will be based on their age in any part of that season up to 31/12/2024
EXCEPTION - JUNIOR and SENIOR/SENIOR COED which is based on the athletes age on 31/08/2023.
For 23/24, the age of the athlete will be determined by their age at any point up to 31/12/2024 - example: an athlete who turns 16 on 20/12/2024 will be 15 for most of that season so is eligible for U16, Junior, U18, Senior and Open, but not Open 7 which requires athletes to be 17+.
NT = Non Tumble divisions. Available in U12/ U16/ U18 and Open.
NT divisions can have 10-30 members, coed is available at NT2-7. Males are limited to 20 members at levels NT5-7
Prep Divisions = Level 1 only available across divisions. IE there is no Prep Level 2 available at Irish events because NT2 is available.
4.2 = Level 4 stunts, Level 2 tumbling. This is the only mixed division and is available at Junior and Senior only.
Specialty Divisions:
Solos/duos will only be available at U6/ U8/ U12 /U16 /U18 and Open.
Stunt groups will be available at U6/ U8/ U12 / Junior / Senior and Open.

Upcoming Changes 24/25
*CHANGES for the 24/25 season: Please be aware that changes will take place in the 24/25 season to the age grid above as follows:-
U12 will move to 8-12 years;
Junior and U16 will merge into one division 12-16 years;
Senior will be subject to a 10 year maximum gap between the youngest and oldest members of the team. For example if the youngest member is 12, the oldest cannot exceed 22 years (10 years difference).

Cheer Sport Ireland follows the IASF rules for All Star Cheerleading. Please ensure you have made all efforts to make yourself and your teams familiar with these rules.
